This is how we spent the day before Xander left on the open road. Chillin' and grillin' with the family. Hanging out by the firepit and generally doing nothing but spending quality time with each other.

 Koda - our red Aussie
 So peaceful.....until.....
 this happens....
 and this....
and it keeps going......this is what big brother's are for, right?
The moose cocoon
Sometimes moose like to hang upside down
but they usually prefer it right side up!
There's some serious contemplation going on here.
 But not here....
And this is how we roll on a warm weekend evening.

What does it look like getting ready to ride your bike across the country?

I am back...........from a very long hiatus!

Guess it is time to revive the blog. Xander leaves tomorrow morning for a coast to coast journey across the US. While he posts about his adventures on the road, I will be posting about our "adventures" at home so we feel connected to both worlds.

Please say a prayer for him as he ventures out on the open road.  I'll post his blog info later in the week.

Smow Day?

My goodness, the weather outside has been frightful for 2 weeks.

It snows.  It stops.  It flurries.

We have 2 hour school delays.

It snows some more. None of it sticks.

Temps have been hovering in the area of 15-25 for over a week, dropping once to 8 with a windchill of negative 12.......BBBBRRRRRRRR, baby it's cold outside.

I do however keep hoping that it will continue for another week in hopes that the white stuff falls on Christmas Day.  Oh how perfect would that be?  One can hope right?

So as I sit here, teachers are hoping for a snow day as 1-3 inches are in the forecast but for 2 weeks the forecasts have not been spot on, so we'll see.

Now, back to check in on the short peeps to see how their gingerbread houses are progressing.  Will post photos of those soon!
